UUWomenspirit Spring Retreat

May 16-20, 2018

  

UUWomenspirit is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that has hosted all-women retreats since 1987. Our retreats emphasize and celebrate the Divine Feminine in her many forms.  The next retreat will be held on May 16-20, 2018 at  The Mountain Retreat and Learning Center in Highlands, NC. 

The theme for our spring event is Inviting the Sacred Into Our Lives.  During the event, we will explore the many wondrous yet simple ways we can bring the sacred into our lives every day.  Daily offerings include workshops, activities and worship services with a group of amazing women.  The venue for the event, The Mountain Retreat and Learning Center,  is nestled deep in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Highlands, NC.  In this beautiful setting, the surrounding views of nature will connect you to the sacred on a whole new level.

The brochure with detailed information about the workshops and other offerings will be available in late February or early March 2018 on our website, www.uuwomenspirit.org, and registration for the retreat will begin in mid-March.  For more information about UUWomenspirit and our upcoming and past events, please visit our website. Volunteer for the Sanctuary Congregation Planning Committee

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to form a Sanctuary Congregation Planning Committee.  Last year, we voted to become a sanctuary congregation for "Dreamers", those covered by the DACA program. Wanted: Children's Religious Education Leader

We are a liberal religious Congregation in search of a fun, dynamic, and creative teacher and leader for our children's religious education program. This is a part-time position that requires two hours on Sunday mornings and up to three additional hours throughout the week. Requirements include experience teaching children, a commitment to liberal religion, and evidence of successful employment. Mounts Gardens Tour, Feb 3rd

On Saturday, February 3rd, at 10:30am, Lynn Pernezny will be leading a tour for 1stUUPB members and friends at Mounts Botanical Garden.  In addition to the beautiful plants on display, Lynn will be taking us through the current exhibit, "Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea."  Lynn is a docent at Mounts, serves on their education and children's program committees, and recently completed her Master Gardener certification.  We will meet inside the garden entrance gate, located at 531 North Military Trail, West Palm Beach, at 10:30, and the tour will last between 75 and 90 minutes.  The only cost will be the regular garden/exhibit admission of $15.
