Using James Baldwin's unfinished final manuscript, Remember This House, this documentary film follows the lives and successive assassinations of three of the author's friends, Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr., delving into the legacy of those iconic figures and narrating historic events using Baldwin's original words and a flood of rich archival material. An up-to-the-minute examination of race in America, this film is a journey into black history that connects the past of the Civil Rights movement to the present of #BlackLivesMatter.

We are having an Art Show starting on the 20th of January . We are accepting all  items Sunday the 14th.  We are having the Committee Fair during coffee hour. We can received items after coffee. See Henry Gruen or Pat Knight.

Wanted: Children's Religious Education Leader

We are a liberal religious Congregation in search of a fun, dynamic, and creative teacher and leader for our children's religious education program. This is a part-time position that requires two hours on Sunday mornings and up to three additional hours throughout the week. Requirements include experience teaching children, a commitment to liberal religion, and evidence of successful employment. Mounts Gardens Tour, Feb 3rd

On Saturday, February 3rd, at 10:30am, Lynn Pernezny will be leading a tour for 1stUUPB members and friends at Mounts Botanical Garden.  In addition to the beautiful plants on display, Lynn will be taking us through the current exhibit, "Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea."  Lynn is a docent at Mounts, serves on their education and children's program committees, and recently completed her Master Gardener certification.  We will meet inside the garden entrance gate, located at 531 North Military Trail, West Palm Beach, at 10:30, and the tour will last between 75 and 90 minutes.  The only cost will be the regular garden/exhibit admission of $15.
